"Are you aged 16-19 and thinking of working, maybe in a group, to create a volunteering
project to help others? Would you love to improve your environment, impact on the
lives of others and learn new skills too? If so, a BOOST! bursary award could help
you to make this a reality."
What is the BOOST! award?
The BAA Communities Trust and WorldWide Volunteering (WWV) have launched this exciting
new bursary scheme. Its aim is to help young people aged between 16-19, and who
live or go to school or attend a youth club within 25 miles of either Heathrow,
Stansted or Southampton airport, to create and be part of a voluntary project. A
BOOST! bursary will contribute to the costs of the project which can include food,
accommodation, transport, materials, equipment and other reasonable costs for the
whole group, including the supervisor of the project (this could be a teacher or
youth worker). These projects should be completed by 31st August 2010.
So, be creative, do something you’ve always wanted to do, and we’ll help with your
costs.
Who might be awarded a BOOST! bursary?
